- MOLANI (transferring images/designs to fabric to be batiked).
- Preparing lime solution for INDIGO solvent.
- Practicing using a canting (a traditional batik tool).
- Nglowong/ngelowong the fabric that has been patterned.
- Making malam remekan (for creating a cracking/remekan background).
- Making natural dye solutions (INDIGO, dried Ketapang leaves, and mangrove/tingi wood).
- Making color fixing solution (lime and Tunjung).
